Located on an artificial island in Osaka Bay, the Kansai International Airport (KIX) is a key transportation hub in Osaka, Japan, with 2 terminals for domestic and international travelers and a port terminal to connect to Kobe Airport via ferry.
Kansai Iternational Airport is connected to downtown Osaka by local train operated by Japan Rail (JR West) and Nankai as well by bus through various Limousine buses. Limited express trains called the “Haruka” by Japan Rail connects Kansai Airport with Osaka and Kyoto while the “Rapi:T” operated by Nankai connects the Airport to Osaka Namba.

JR West operates various train lines from Kansai International Airport including
- Kansai Airport Line: The Kansai Airport Line connects Kansai International Airport with Osaka, Kyoto, Kobe, and Nara.

Nankai
- Nankai Airport Line: The Nankai Airport line connects Kansai International Airport (KIX) to Namba Station in Osaka City by local line with no seating reservation required. A limited express train called Rapi:T is also available
- Nankai Wakayama Line: This line connects Kansai International Airport to Wakayama City in Wakayama Prefecture.
- Nankai Koya Line: The Nankai Koya Line line branches off from the Nankai Main Line and connects to Gokurakubashi Station, from where you can take the Nankai Cable Car to Mount Koya (Koyasan), a sacred Buddhist site and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Note that the Kansai Thru Pass and the Nankai All Line 2 Day Pass can be used to travel from Osaka Namba Station to Kansai Airport however, if you want to board the Limited Express Rapi:T, an additional charge of ¥520 will need to be paid for the seat.
