JR Osaka Loop Line

JR Osaka Loop Line, operated by JR West, has 19 stations from Tennoji Station to Shin-Imamiya Station in Osaka.

The JR Osaka Loop Line is one of the most important lines in Osaka with a clockwise and counter clockwise direction from Tennoji to Shin Imamiya Station. It also branches out to form the Osaka Loop Renraku Line to connect with Shin Osaka Station for the Shinkansen Lines including the Sanyo Shinkansen to Hakata Station in Fukuoka and the Tokaido Shinkansen to Kyoto, Nagoya and Tokyo Stations.

This line does not pass the City Center except the Umeda Station, instead goes on the outskirts of Osaka. You may also use this line to go to Osaka Castle and to connect to the Sakurajima Line Yumesaki Line in Nishikujo Station going to Universal City Station for the Universal Studios Japan.

You may use the Whole Japan JR Pass, JR Kansai Area Pass, JR Kansai Hiroshima Area Pass, JR Kansai Hokuriku Area Pass, JR Kansai Wide Area Pass for unlimited rides using the JR Lines in Osaka.
