1 Day Tokyo Subway Ticket Itinerary

This Tokyo Subway Ticket 1 day Itinerary covers 9 areas including Akihabara, Asakusa, Ginza, Roppongi Hills, Shibuya, Shinjuku, Tokyo Skytree, Tokyo Tower, Ueno and up to 44 paid and free tourist spots. This itinerary is specifically designed to use the Tokyo Metro Subway and Toei Subway Lines but you may also choose to use other lines and pay for it separately using SUICA or PASMO.

Start the day in Ueno at around 5:30 or 6:00 in the morning and end in Kabukicho in Shinjuku. This is an extensive trip and will take around 20,000 to 25,000 steps.

Note that you dont need to follow the full itinerary but you may need to check the nearest Tokyo Metro or Toei Subway Station. I have also included paid and free things to do per area.

Tokyo Subway Ticket

The Tokyo Subway Ticket is a convenient and cost-effective travel pass for foreign tourists that provides unlimited access to Tokyo Metro and Toei subway system. This ticket covers all 9 Tokyo Metro lines and 4 Toei Subway lines.

The Tokyo subway ticket pass costs ¥800 for 24 hours, ¥1200 for 48 hours and ¥1500 for 72 hours valid for use on the Tokyo Metro and Toei Subway Lines. This is different from the 24 hours Common One-day Ticket for Tokyo Metro & Toei Subway priced at ¥900 which can be purchased from the ticket vending machine.

Alternatively, you may purchase the Keisei Skyliner with 1 day Tokyo Subway Ticket or the Greater Tokyo Pass valid for 5 days from Klook which includes almost all private train lines in Tokyo except the JR Lines and Tokyo Monorail.

Make your way from your Hotel to Ueno Station. This is the first leg of the itineray since Ueno Park and Ameyoko Shopping Street is open early in the morning. Other Tourist spots may open late so you may choose to skip the others to save on time.
