JR Keihin-Tohoku Line, operated by JR East, has 36 stations from Omiya Station to Yokohama Station in Saitama and Kanagawa Prefecture.

The Keihin-Tohoku Line is one of the most used JR Line that connects Tokyo Station with Yokohama and Saitama. JR Keihin-Tohoku Line also connects with around 54 lines operated by JR Central, JR East, JR West, Keikyu, Keisei, Metropolitan Intercity Railway, Saitama New Urban Transit, Sotetsu, Tobu, Tokyo Metro, Toei, Tokyo Monorail, Tokyo Waterfront Area Rapid Transit, Tokyu, Yokohama City Transportation Bureau, Yokohama Minatomirai Railway and Yurikamome.

The Keihin Tohoku Line together with the Yamanote Loop Line are the only lines that has access to Both the Narita Express via Ueno, Shinagawa and Tokyo Station and the Tokyo Monorail via Hamamatsucho Station. This is a JR Train and the Japan Rail Pass, JR Tokyo Wide Pass and other JR East Regional Pass will work on this line.
